Freddie to go west

Scooby Doo star Freddie Prinze Jr is to make his West End stage debut, it was announced today.

Hollywood actor, married to Buffy The Vampire Slayer heroine Sarah Michelle Gellar, will play one of the lead roles in This Is Our Youth.

Prinze follows in the footsteps of other stars such as Matt Damon and Anna Paquin by starring in the show at London's Garrick Theatre.

He joins the cast on January 16. He will star alongside Chris Klein, best known for his role in the American Pie movies and Heather Burns who was in Miss Congeniality and You've Got Mail.
